Javidan Guard in the streets of Iran: "Long live Iran and Iranians; long live the Shah"

Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office on Friday 23 October released a video of Javidan Guard members writing slogans and messages in Iran's streets with the slogan "Long live the Shah".

Why it matters: Slogans for the Prince at the height of the security presence show that supporters of the national revolution inside Iran remain active despite the crackdown.

Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office on Friday 23 October 2026 released a minute-and-a-half video of members of the "Javidan Guard" writing slogans and sending messages in the streets of Iran. The slogan written on the walls and the message of the group's members, according to the Prince's media office, is: "Long live Iran and Iranians! Long live the Shah!"

Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office published the video with Persian and English text on its official channel. The names of the cities and the exact time of the slogan-writing were not given in the message.

Slogan-writing in days of tight security

The video was released in days when the Islamic Republic has stepped up the presence of security forces in Iran's cities. In recent days citizens have reported checkpoints, deployment of security forces and severe internet slowdowns in at least 14 cities ahead of the anniversary of the November 2019 protests.

Since the Dey 1404 uprising, the slogan "Long live the Shah" has been one of the protesters' main slogans in the streets and on the walls of Iran's cities. For supporters of the national revolution inside the country, writing slogans at night, despite the risk of arrest and heavy sentences, is a way of showing their presence and their resilience against repression.

Messages from inside the country on the Prince's office channel

Alongside the Prince's messages and positions, Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office also publishes messages and images from compatriots inside Iran. Earlier on Friday the same office had relayed Prince Reza Pahlavi's article in Le Figaro and his call on the candidates in France's presidential election to make four commitments.

With the slogan "Long live Iran and Iranians; long live the Shah" on Iran's walls, members of the Javidan Guard showed the presence of the national revolution's supporters at the heart of the crackdown.
