Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi's office warns of a fake web address

In a statement on the night of Sunday, 18 October 2026, the private office of Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi warned that suspicious individuals or bodies with malicious aims have circulated an address titled "say hello to Farah Pahlavi" online, pretending that it can be used to send messages to the Shahbanou.

According to the Shahbanou's office, the purpose of publishing this address may be to obtain personal information from compatriots who wish to be in contact with her. The private office stressed that only the Shahbanou's official website and her previously known, verified accounts are valid, and any other address should be treated as suspicious and untrustworthy.

The danger of fake accounts for Iranians

The warning comes at a time when the Islamic Republic's security bodies have repeatedly used fake accounts and pages and online tricks of deception to identify and pursue opponents. For citizens inside Iran, sending a name, phone number or personal information to an unknown address can lead to arrest and a fabricated case; for this reason the Shahbanou's office has asked compatriots to contact her only through the official addresses.

Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi, whose 88th birthday was celebrated in Paris last week, has always been in touch with Iranians through these accounts and publishes her messages about the freedom of Iran on them.
