Prince Reza Pahlavi's press office announced on Friday, 16 October 2026, that the transfer of the "Iran Prosperity Project" from the National Union for Democracy in Iran (NUFDI) has been completed and that the project will from now on continue its mission in a new organisation. According to the Prince's office, the Iran Prosperity Project, launched at the initiative of Prince Reza Pahlavi, is with this step beginning "a new chapter" in its work to prepare for the transition period and Iran's national reconstruction.

The press office's announcement says the project's scope has been expanded and made more inclusive, and that its effort is now focused on bringing together Iranian experts to draw up practical plans for rebuilding Iran's system of governance, economy, society and infrastructure. The Prince's office stressed that the project's research and public education programmes have always been, and will remain, dedicated to laying the foundations of a free, secular, democratic and prosperous future for the people of Iran.

A new website and an official channel for donations

According to the announcement, the Iran Prosperity Project's new website will be launched soon and will provide the public with the project's latest news and official information on how to support it. The Prince's office said that from now on all financial contributions to these efforts will be accepted only through the official channels announced on that website, a point that warns compatriots against giving money to unrelated accounts or individuals acting in the project's name.

The press office also invited everyone who wishes to contribute to planning Iran's future to take part, thanked the project's colleagues and supporters for their commitment to Iran's future, and promised to share the project's next steps and achievements with the public.

Background of the Iran Prosperity Project

The Iran Prosperity Project was unveiled in Washington in the Iranian month of Ordibehesht 1404 (April–May 2025) in the presence of Prince Reza Pahlavi, who described it as the fifth part of a five-part strategy to reclaim and rebuild Iran. The updated edition of the project's "Emergency Phase Booklet", which covers the first six months after the collapse of the Islamic Republic, was published in the Iranian month of Esfand 1404 (February–March 2026) after gathering the views of experts and the public.

Saeed Ghasseminejad, the project's director, said recently in Düsseldorf that nearly 200 experts have written the plan for the emergency and transition period, and the project's advisers have spoken in recent weeks about the role of a clear picture of Iran's tomorrow in persuading civil servants and military personnel to join the people.

With its move from NUFDI complete, the Iran Prosperity Project is pursuing its plan to rebuild Iran after the Islamic Republic in an independent organisation with a broader scope.
