This report updates: Saeed Ghasseminejad in Düsseldorf: Prince Reza Pahlavi's transition plan includes at least four elections

Saeed Ghasemi-Nejad, director of the "Iran Prosperity Project" and economic adviser to Prince Reza Pahlavi, spoke in his address at the "Free Iran and the European Union" conference in Düsseldorf about the project's planning for three stages: the emergency period, the transition period and long-term reforms after the first elected government takes office. Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office published a new part of the speech on Thursday 15 October 2026; DIAR's earlier report covered another part of the same speech, on at least four elections in the transition programme.

According to Ghasemi-Nejad, nearly 200 specialists in various fields have collaborated in writing these programmes. He presented the two main pillars of the programmes as "fundamental stabilisation" and "industrial reconstruction".

The emergency-period booklet revised with public input

The director of the Iran Prosperity Project said the emergency-period booklet, written for the first days and months after the collapse of the Islamic Republic, has been revised after receiving thousands of comments, including from inside Iran. According to him, thousands of people have also sent requests to collaborate with the project.

These remarks are a direct answer to the claim that Prince Reza Pahlavi has no plan for Iran's tomorrow. With the Prince's support, the Iran Prosperity Project is preparing expert plans for the economy, energy, water and the country's institutions in the post-transition era. Earlier, advisers to the project, including Alen Bastakian, had also said that a clear picture of tomorrow reduces employees' and military personnel's fear of the future and makes it easier for them to join the people.

Background: the transition programme and four elections

In another part of the same speech, Ghasemi-Nejad said Prince Reza Pahlavi's transition programme foresees at least four elections so that Iranians themselves determine, by their vote, the shape of the future government. He chaired the committee that selected the members of the proposed structure for the transition period.

According to Saeed Ghasemi-Nejad, nearly 200 specialists have written the emergency and transition programme and thousands of people have declared their readiness to collaborate.
