In the early hours of Tuesday, 3 November 2026, Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office released a video message from a compatriot in Iran who sets the Islamic Republic's flag on fire and raises the Lion and Sun flag in its place. Addressing the regime, he says: "We are setting your flag on fire. The Islamic Republic will soon fall."
The Prince's office did not give the man's name or city; sending such a message from inside Iran exposes the sender to arrest and a security case.
Video messages from inside Iran
The video is the latest of the messages from inside the country that the Prince's media office has released in recent days. A few days ago, on the eve of the anniversary of the fallen Omid Sarlak, videos of people burning the Islamic Republic's flag in his memory were also released.
The message came out on a night of growing fear that the death sentences of three protesters in the Meydan Alikhani case in Isfahan would be carried out at dawn on Tuesday. At the same time, the Islamic Republic has banned the sale of gold and coins bearing the Lion and Sun in Mashhad, a symbol that since the Dey 2025-2026 uprising has become the banner of protesters and of Prince Reza Pahlavi's supporters.
A compatriot in Iran burned the Islamic Republic's flag and said the regime will soon fall.
