Prince Reza Pahlavi's office publishes security guide for the Rise Iran bot

Prince Reza Pahlavi's office on Friday, 30 October, published a guide to safely using the "Rise Iran" bot, the only official way to join the national cooperation campaign, with eight Telegram security settings.

Why it matters: Campaign supporters inside Iran face the risk of being identified, and a fake bot or a wrong Telegram setting could hand them over to the security forces.

Prince Reza Pahlavi's media office on Friday evening, 30 October 2026, published a full guide to safely using the Telegram bot "Rise Iran" (Barkhiz Iran) and asked users to read it carefully before taking any step. According to the "We Take Iran Back" campaign, the bot is the only official way to join the national cooperation campaign to save Iran.

The campaign presents the bot as a direct line to Prince Reza Pahlavi and his team. Its call is addressed to all Iranians, but it speaks in particular to members of the military, police and security forces and to government employees.

How to recognise the real bot

According to the guide, the only valid handle is @BarkhiziranBot, and users should search for it themselves in Telegram and check the handle on the bot's profile page. Any other bot, code or form in the campaign's name is fake. Ads that appear at the top of the chat screen with an "Ad" label are fake even if they carry the Prince's name, and users should not click on them.

The campaign's QR code should only be scanned from the live satellite broadcast of Iran International or of Iran National Revolution TV, not from recorded videos or reposted images.

Eight security settings for a Telegram account

The guide asks users to turn on two-step verification with a strong password, remove unknown devices from the list of active sessions and set old sessions to end automatically after one week. The phone number should be visible to nobody, last seen and forwarded messages should be closed, direct calls should be enabled for nobody because they reveal the user's IP address to the other side, adding to groups should be allowed only for permitted contacts, and Telegram itself should have a separate passcode lock.

The campaign also warned against installing unofficial versions of Telegram, including Mobogram, Hotgram and Talagram, and asked users to act with a reliable VPN and in a private place. After registering, the chat with the bot should be deleted but the bot should not be blocked, and the user should wait for a message from the team.

Answering security concerns

According to the campaign, the bot does not see the user's phone number and only receives the text the user writes; this information is transferred to the campaign's separate system. The guide was published after questions were raised in recent days about the bot's security, which Prince Reza Pahlavi's office had already answered.

The national cooperation campaign's only official handle is @BarkhiziranBot; any other bot or ad in the Prince's name is fake.
